…and the livin´is easy.
Ann Sophie first started out in national and international television when she performed at the Eurovision Song Contest representing Germany. She later performed at The Voice of Germany, which offered her the space to showcase some of her personal favourites, starting with George Gershwins Summertime. She has first started singing Jazz in Manhattans Jazz Bars, which has been a formative time of her life and music career. Enjoy diving into some of her most meaningful and memorable performances on television.
Nothing Compares To You
Ann Sophie sings at the semi-finals. With “Nothing Compares To You” she leaves her footprint at the German television show. Being incredibly grateful for this path, she leaves with a smile on her face and on her heart.
Hallelujah
Ann Sophie performs Jeff Buckley´s “Hallelujah” at the quarter-finals. It was one of her favourite moments on the show that qualified her for the semi-finals.
Creep
Ann Sophie grew up listening to Meatloaf, Queen, Guns n Roses and many more incredible bands. Rock always had a huge impact on her life. Singing Radioheads “Creep” was a performance that was definitely outside of her comfort zone and therefore incredibly special.
Stand Up
One of the most famous battles of the show. Performing Cynthia Erivos “Stand Up” with Archipe & Jennifer has been one of the most memorable moments for the singer. It was also the first battle at The Voide of Germany, where all three contestants made it into the next round. Hitting over 1 million views on YouTube this performance is one you will not forget.
Summertime
This performance changed Ann Sophie’s life forever. She reclaimed her story by singing like she did back when she was living in New York. Having been super nervous, this night liftet her spirit in a big way.
“I will always be incredibly grateful for this moment…and to The Voice of Germany for making things better. This was such a healing experience” - Ann Sophie
Black Smoke
Her rising that ended up as a downfall…however Black Smoke and her performance in Vienna are both aspects of her career Ann will always be grateful for. With Black Smoke being one of the most successful songs in Germany during Eurovision, singing in font of such a big audience was incredible, especially at such a young age with almost no stage experience. With the years passing she now feels proud of her performance and that she can set an example for standing back up.
