Ann Sophie

Dive into Ann Sophie’s music history.

Her latest album “Under My Skin” forms a collection of all her work since 2019.

Meet Ann where she meets herself…through her music.

Under My Skin

Under My Skin forms a collection of all her songs that she has released since 2019. Ann Sophie wanted to bundle her musical work and all the songs she’s written about heartbreak and standing back up. The albums name is inspired by one of her singles called “Selfish”.

“I can’t let you under my skin” is what the German singer shares in that song explaining that it is sometimes hard for her to let someone truly in. However within her music she manages to share her deepest insecurities and you actually get under her skin when listening to the songs that make the album.

Songs included on this album: Phantom Pain, Replay, Quicksand, Bye Boy, Tornado and many many more.

I Love It!

This song is a personal confession and dedication to self love. It talks about trauma and healing but most of all, it talks about the excitement of being yourself. I hope this song opens your heart and guides you on your path. & I hope that you LOVE IT! 🧡✨

Moves

Moves is a song about turning back to your roots. About going back to who you always were. This single has been part of a difficult managerial experience which had Ann fighting for her rights for many years. This single was supposed to come to light in 2018. Now 5 years later after being in the dark, Moves is setting itself free. Written in Italy, this song creates a summer vibe which leaves you inspired to make your Moves!

Quicksand

Quicksand. A song about finding love. Perfect for your summer and perfect for celebrating happiness. Let yourself go and drift away by love and all its feelings, like quicksand.

“Love is quicksand and I´m drifting slowly and it’s alright. Baby kiss me one more time.” - Ann Sophie

April (Live)

April may just be the most personal song Ann has ever shared with her fans. Ann wanted to show her fans how she writes music, when it is just her and the piano on a rainy day or a summer night. This song is about finding love and about finding yourself.

“I am very proud of this piece and am happy to announce that I am working on the release of many more songs of mine, recorded in exactly this way. Pure, simple, raw, real, me.”

Selfish

No matter how hard we try to be selfless, sometimes we are selfish. However Ann does not only write about being selfish sometimes. This song is also about the fact that love can be terrifying and that it may feel safer to run than to face the person that’s in front of you, asking to love you.

“I’m selfish. When I turn around I won’t come back. I can’t let you under my skin.” - Ann

The Real You

The Real You. A song about an everlasting love and about falling in love with the person that is inside of you…the REAL YOU. The song is about the beauty of imperfection and the stability of loving a character with all its flaws.

“I love writing about break ups but writing about falling in love might be even more interesting.” - Ann Sophie

Replay

In a very pure and simple way, Ann is asking for a new start. Sometimes relationships take unfortunate turns but if the love is deep and real you may be up for a replay and a future that might last.

Phantom Pain

Leaning into writing more pop songs, Ann Sophie has released the very catchy Phantom Pain in 2021, emerging from the dark and stepping into the unknown. Phantom Pain is definitely going to sweeten your morning or day and may just enrich your daily life. It is also the perfect song if you want to let go and dance it off.

Bye Boy

Like Taylor Swift, her biggest inspiration and idol, Ann Sophie loves to write break up songs. Bye Boy is one of her absolute favourites and has been the second single she released from her EP VOID! letting everyone know that you can’t take her crown.

“I´m not gonna read between your lines. I don’t have enough time. I’m not gonna tear myself apart to get a place in your heart. Bye boy.”

Tornado

“Wrapped in all my troubles. Feel myself get burned. I am a tornado. Risking no return. I’m on the run.”

Ann Sophie releases Tornado. Her first single after the Eurovision experience..Tornado has brought her back to doing what she loves the most and nothing was going to stop her.

VOID!

VOID! Her stand back up EP Void! was the first EP Ann Sophie has released after healing from her mental battle regarding the Eurovision Song Contest experience. After falling down a steep hill, she had to rediscover herself and started to write her heart out onto the pages in front of her. Her single “Tornado” has freed herself emotionally and it was this EP that has given her the foundation to keep on doing what she loves.

Songs included on this EP: Tornado, Bye Boy, Puzzle Pieces, Like You II & Flygh.

Silver Into Gold

Being part of the Eurovision Song Contest allowed the singer to create her second studio album “Silver Into Gold”. Silver into Gold tells the tale that we are born with a golden soul which through traumatic or emotional experience tend to turn silver and tend to not reach it´s fullest potential. Ann Sophie sings that “you know the picture of your soul” and that it is by truly being you, it can become golden again. Silver Into Gold is an extended idea of Time Extended and covers 4 songs from Ann Sophie’s debut Album. These songs include: Get Over Yourself, Silver Into Gold, Have You Ever and I Think It’s A Love Song.

Time Extended

Time Extende. Ann Sophie’s first step into living her dream. The singer started writing music when she was living in New York and went to sing in Jazzclubs such as “The Bitter End” in Greenwich Village. The Monday night Jam led by Richie Cannata ended up in giving her the chance to explore her music further and record it in the famous Cove City Sound Studios. Get Over Yourself was her first single she shared online, hitting over 50k within the first day. Produced by Eren Cannata, Ann carries this album close to her heart. It is a reminder of her wonderful and formative time living and freeing herself in New York City.
